He has taken part in photo ops where he exercises<\/a> and lifts weights<\/a> alongside soldiers. In his speeches, Hegseth proclaims that the Trump administration is bringing back a \u201cwarrior ethos<\/a>\u201d for its troops of \u201cwar fighters<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n

Currently, he is advocating for a contentious initiative to guarantee that soldiers are as hardy as possible: testosterone testing and, for those with lower levels, optional hormone replacement therapy.<\/p>\n

\u201cFollowing advice from our exceptional medical team, war fighters aged 30 and over will be required to take annual tests as part of their health evaluations,\u201d Hegseth mentioned in a video<\/a> posted on his official X account on Wednesday. Those younger than 30 may also opt to take part in these evaluations, he noted.<\/p>\n
