Physical AI chip creator SiMa AI reaches a valuation of $1.45B

SiMa.ai, a firm focused on creating chips and software enabling robots, drones, cameras, and various other gadgets to perform AI tasks directly on the device, has secured a $150 million Series C funding round at a valuation of $1.45 billion. The investment round was co-led by Fidelity Management & Research Company and Amplify, with contributions from Alter Venture Partners, Dell Technologies Capital, and StepStone Group.

Established in 2018 by Krishna Rangasayee, former COO of chip manufacturer Groq, the company offers energy-efficient chips that remove the necessity for data transmission to and from the cloud. SiMa.ai aims for its low-latency capabilities and more cost-effective chips, in comparison to Nvidia’s GPUs, to assist in seizing the expanding market for physical AI devices, including humanoid robots.

This latest funding round has elevated SiMa.ai’s overall capital raised to over $500 million. Previously, the startup was valued at $960 million following an $85 million Series B funding in July 2025, as reported by PitchBook.
